The American University of Florence is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of alumna Clothilde Goujard, a journalist currently reporting from Amman, Jordan. Clothilde’s latest article for Le Monde provides an in-depth look at Jordan’s increasing humanitarian efforts in Gaza amid a fragile ceasefire.
In her January 31, 2025, report, Clothilde details how Jordanian forces have been delivering critical supplies—such as food, baby formula, and medical kits—to Gazan civilians, despite logistical and political challenges. She also highlights Jordan’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinian communities, a position reinforced by King Abdullah II during recent diplomatic talks in Brussels.
