Our internship program aims to raise trainees’ industrial awareness and provide opportunities in a real commercial environment to build their knowledge in hospitality and tourism. We welcome individuals who are interested in gaining experience in a specific discipline for SIX months. The trainees will receive an all-round overview of the hotel’s operations and on-the-job training in a specific department (EG.: Rooms, F&B, Guest Service, Culinary, etc.) As part of The Ritz-Carlton philosophy is to creating a work environment of teamwork and lateral service, it is expected and mandatory for all trainees to be assigned to operational departments for at least TWO shifts a month. Trainees’ performance will be monitored, and mentorship will be provided throughout the program. They will receive a monthly subsistence allowance per month during the internship period as well.

Benefits
The RA will benefit from a scholarship which will allow them to receive a 3-credit transfer of PS CS LS 300 Learn and Serve. The RA will be issued a letter of enrollment and international health insurance for residence purposes if needed. The scholarship will include accommodation in Florence and during working field trips and a partial meal plan for the duration of the program.
Period of performance
AUF offers two separate Pre-College Sessions during the summer of 2025. Applicants must be available for both sessions. The two Pre-College Programs run from:
RA Training Period: June 10 - June 27, 2025
3-Week Pre-College I: Monday, June 30, 2025 to Friday July 18, 2025
3- Week Pre-College II: Monday, July 21, 2025 to Friday, August 8, 2025
The RA position begins on Tuesday, June 10 (with RA arrival into Florence on Monday, June 9) and ends on Saturday, August 9, 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for personal growth and the development of transferable skills.
